Trilby Tweed Hat
A classic style in wool blend tweed, comfortable and robust to wear.
Wear it jaunty, spin it or just plonk it on and go fishing, the Trilby is a durable hat that's been worn in many ways with many styles over the past century.
The trilby is so called because a gentleman wore this style of hat in the first stage performance in London of George du Maurier’s 1894 novel “Trilby”.
A very versatile smart hat, the Trilby has a distinctive design with a short brim, a crease across the crown and it can also be pinched in on the sides if desired.
We currently make these hats using a variety of similarly patterned wool blend tweed cloth depending on availability. Colours will vary from those in the pictures but will all be traditional muted country colours - greens, brown, blues, greys in a dogtooth pattern.
