Badger Face Welsh Mountain Sheepskin Rug

This Badger Face Welsh Mountain breed sheepskin rug is predominantly golden cream in colour, with highlights of grey and dark brown patches around the edges. The rug is soft and fluffy, with longer haired wool above a more tightly packed layer beneath.  There is some variation in the fleece length, the dark brown patches on each edge are more short haired, and there is longer hair in the bottom corners. There is also a small bald patch on either side, common on natural sheepskins and included deliberately when we hand trim as it ensures that the rug will sit flat without curling under.

The UK has more sheep breeds than any other country - over 60 and counting - and many more cross breeds. Glencroft British sheepskin rugs are 100% British and entirely by-products of the meat industry - that means they are from British sheep, tanned in a British tannery, and hand finished in our Yorkshire Dales warehouse.
