British Speckled Black Rare Breed Sheepskin Rug Small
A thick and coarse British rare breed sheepskin rug with an attractive natural speckled black and white pattern. It has a very coarse fleece with lots of kemp fibres, likely from a Jacob cross breed or other hill breed.
The UK has more sheep breeds than any other country - over 60 and counting - and many more cross breeds. Glencroft British sheepskin rugs are 100% British and entirely by-products of the meat industry - that means they are from British sheep, tanned in a British tannery, and hand finished in our Yorkshire Dales warehouse.
Normally Richard would be hand finishing 100-200 sheepskin rugs every week (watch how here) that go to specialist independent retailers across the country but recent events has put all processes on hold, allowing us to individually photograph and supply online some of the best rugs for a limited time only. Once they're gone they're gone!
