Icelandic Sheepskin Rugs

The Icelandic is a breed of domestic sheep introduced to Iceland by Vikings in the early tenth century. Icelandic sheepskin rugs are a hugely popular luxurious sheepskin rug due to their long fleece staple, well over 10cm, and their soft texture.

As anyone who’s shopped online for these unique sheepskins will tell you, not all Icelandic sheepskin rugs are created equal. At Glencroft we select the highest quality Icelandic sheepskin rugs, all with long, soft fleeces and a good shape and size.

Choose from natural and undyed black, white and spotty Icelandic sheepskin rugs which are as unique as the sheep they came from. These are also the largest rugs in our Icelandic range.

Or match your interior with one of our many dyed colours from the distinctive caramel hues of our ‘Highland Coo’ colour, to all shades of grey, dark tipped rugs, greens, pinks and many more.
